Lady Grace is the epitome of High French Fashion. She was produced by the Bru Jne. & Cie Doll company. She is the ultimate French fashion doll with her elegant features and slim waist. She is considered by many to be Bru's masterpiece. Originally known simply as the smiling poupee model, she was patented on August 1, 1873. It is believed that the inspiration for this beauty was the Empress Eugenie, the wife of Napoleon III. Her brows and lashes are delicate strokes, her eyes are glass paperweight and she has a mohair wig. Her gown is exquisite, made of all natural fabrics, such as silks, silk taffeta, dupionnes, and 100% cotton laces. It duplicates the original style as closely as possible. As with all reproductions made by Sowatzka's Dolls, Lady Grace is as close to the original as possible. The artists at Sowatzka's sign, number and date all their dolls.
